::Story::

This is a collection of 'odds and ends' images and test shots that I never quite managed to figure out what to do with. There are random shots taken on my travels, left-overs from other shoots, and pictures that I filed in my cloud storage and forgot about, and then rediscovered during my regular 'spring cleaning' exercises.

 

I'm not going to do a style card for all of these images - firstly it would take me too long to figure out what I'm wearing in most of the shots, epecially in terms of make-ups and hairs, but clothes as well. I've just done Access and Shop & Hop, and my inventory is a nightmare. I'm trying to keep it manageable with clear-outs, but I'm fighting a lonely rearguard action against all the wonderful creators who insist on giving away beautiful free stuff in SL.

 

Basically, though, I have only two bodies, Maitreya and Belleza (actually, I have all three Belleza bodies, but I only use Freya - for the great tits, plus no arm seams, baby). I'm pretty sure these are all Freya, apart from picture three. 

 

In terms of skins, again, I didn't take a note of what I was wearing in these, but I would expect that most of them are Velour Ipanema for body, and either the Velour Beth or Brittany for head. I'm using 'Rose Kiss' tone as my standard now.

 

Hairs. My current favourite is the Tram K0310 Hair (pictures 2 & 5), which was a freebie until recently at the Tram Mainstore. If you didn't pick up all the Tram legacy group gifts (shout-out also to the Moon legacy group gifts) - bad luck. I've invested quite a lot in Doux hairs and various others over the last 12 months, but these freebies are actually my go-to hairs at present.

 

Heads. I think pictures one and two are Lelutka Lilly. I think that three and six are Lelutka Fleur. Two and four look like the Logo Bella group gift that I picked up recently. 

 

I love the Bella head, it's beautiful. And it was free, which is even sweeter. Same with the Akeruka Andro group gift head that I picked up recently. These are beautiful pieces of mesh. I have wondered in the past why other heads and bodies aren't more popular than Maitreya and Lelutka. Maitreya is pretty limited compared to some of the other bodies out there now (those seams, grrrr!). The answer (apart from creator support) is HUD usablility. Lelutka is miles ahead of other designers in heads, and Maitreya is still out front in bodies. But the field is definitely catching up. The new squishy breast, thigh and arm add-ons that you can get for Legacy, eBody and Inithium are a game changer. I'm seriously looking at an eBody or a Legacy now, as soon as I can scrape some $Lindens together. I probably have more Legacy compatible stuff in my inventory, so my bias is in that direction, but the cost is a lot more - decisions, decisions...
